Fixed Wireless GSM Communication System (Fixed Cellular Terminal)Least Cost Routing / Call Switching

Key Features
- Single, dual or rack mounted (up to 16 ports) least cost routing solution designed
for the PABX environment.
- Call routing based on
- load sharing, distribute calls evenly across ports
- Barring tables prevent calls from being made on specific ports
- Tariff tables assigned actual cost of a call depending on number dialed
- Modular call routing solution, monitor 8 trunk lines switching to 4 GSM ports
- Remote management
- Access remote units via SMS, GSM Data or directly via SpiProg
- Callback switching
- CallBack switching based on the same routing tables described above
- SpiderCell provides the client with the ability to limit usage based on
either minutes used or cash cost of the calls. When the assigned value is
depleted, SpiderCell will prevent calls from being made.
- the scheduler offers a cost or no cost (i.e network charge) reporting
system for statistics, “i am here” and “i am idle” status conditions
- Intelligent “iamidle” reporting alerts operations staff when a unit is idle
during predefined working hours and ignores public holidays and after
hours
- All data pertaining to SpiderCell is stored and managed using database
techniques
- Interconnectivity
- allows for multiple SpiderCells to be interconnected on its own unique
network system
- allows decoded DTMF information to be sent between SpiderCell ports
without time penalt
Key Usage

the SpiderPorts or the trunk line based on the number dialled and the routing
tables loaded in the system

• TrunkSwitch:
Realtime Least Cost Routing based on routing tables or actual cost of call

- TrunkSwitch, part of the SpiderCell suite of GSM/PABX products, is a hardware switch designed to dynamically switch between SpiderCell ports
- TrunkSwitch scans up to 30 PSTN lines and is able to switch up to 10 SpiderCell ports
- TrunkSwitch facilitates realtime least cost routing between SpiderCell ports based on the cost of a call, this done independently from the PABX
- TrunkSwitch is a hardware switch and therefore no delay is experienced by the user when calls are switched
- TrunkSwitch and SpiderCell use the SpiderBus to to communicate with each other in order to determine the least cost route for a call based call cost criteria
Technical Specifications
- 8 x RJ-11 ports, 4 in / 4 out
- SpiderBus: 10 way IDC connector
- Power: 2.1mm DC power jack; 10.5-14.5VDC, normal 12VDC 1.2A
- LED: Red power indication
What is "On-Net/Off-Net"?
- "On-Net" is calls made from a phone/device to another phone/device using the same network
(eg. MTN to MTN),
therefore lowering the call cost
- "Off-Net" is calls made from a phone/device to another phone/device using different
networks (MTN to Celtel).
- Results in higher call cost.
What is the "Bundle"?
- The bundle is the free minutes associated with an airtime package. This, normally,
means the first x minutes per
month of a sim card package that are included in the monthly fee. These minutes are usually
cheaper than minutesoutside the bundle. TrunkSwitch ensures that all calls are distributed
evenly between sim cards in order to maximisethe use of the bundle.
What is "Load Share"?
- Load share means that SpiderCell distributes calls evenly across sim cards, based on call criteria, in order to use the bundle efficiently. If the month or period begins with 1,000 minutes per sim card, at the end of the period Spider-Cell and TrunkSwitch will endeavour to use each sim card such that they are all close to zero.
